Award winning and highly respected Exec Nisha Lilia Diu is taking up a new role at Brinkworth, the rapidly growing London based company. Nisha’s appointment is part of Brinkworth’s continued push into premium docs and series for UK broadcasters and SVODs – building on the company’s established UK and international slate.
The former BBC Exec has held a variety of roles at the BBC. At BBC Three, she was instrumental in growing the channel’s cross-platform audience, later helping to launch a new in-house production team within BBC News & Current Affairs, focused on nurturing emerging talent on both sides of the camera. The team won numerous awards and nominations, including Edinburgh TV Festival New Voice Awards, Media Freedom Awards and Broadcast Sport Awards.
Her Exec Producer credits include BBC1 docs Who Stole Tamara Ecclestone’s Diamonds and Catch Her if You Can. She also Exec’d 40 episodes of BBC1’s RTS award-winning current affairs series We Are England as well as current affairs programmes for Panorama and the BBC News channel before joining BBC Studios as a Development Executive developing documentary ideas for major UK/US broadcasters and SVODs. Prior to joining the BBC, Nisha also led longform journalism production at The Telegraph.
Nisha joins a growing senior editorial team working alongside recently appointed Head of Unscripted, Global, Yonni Usiskin and Creative Director Xander Brinkworth.
